Project: Upcycled waste plastic flower pot
Details: A spherical or cylindrical flower pot upcycled from waste plastic beer kegs. The redesigned keg acts as a small greenhouse for a variety of flowering plants. The pot can be used indoors or left outside in the elements. Unlike many current plastic flower pots, the plastic in “GLASSLEAVES” is PET plastic, which is not toxic and is used for food packaging. The pot is not only practical but symbolises a harmonious relationship between art and nature.
Background: This project formed the groundwork for my later projects on growing green in waste and stimulated my collaboration with Flaminia del Grosso on “PHYTUP.
